SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 30th) — Shine Louise Houston is no stranger to independent adult video production. The feminist porn award-winning director and founder of Pink & White Productions, Houston has produced feature films and runs her independent websites with robust membership and affiliate programs. Based in San Francisco, California, Houston’s company boasts a sustainable business model and has experienced increased financial growth through marketing progressive, high-quality pornography to sex-positive viewers hungry for alternative depictions of sex-positive and diverse sexuality.

Following her mission and ethical business practices, Houston’s PINK LABEL is a fair-trade digital distribution outlet designed for emerging and independent adult filmmakers. Emerging filmmakers will find enthusiastic audiences and exposure, as well as ethical, fair-trade commission for their work. PINK LABEL presents curated content that showcases acclaimed feminist filmmakers who share Houston’s values.

N. Maxwell Lander is a queer photo-based digital artist. She is constantly finding new renditions for her contemporary creativity. Maxwell’s work attempts to draw a thin line between beauty and vulgarity, restriction and hedonism, decency and decadence –- to make them all one and the same. Her works on PinkLabel.tv include Maybe He’s Gifted, winner of the 2011 Feminist Porn Award’s “Golden Beaver” for Canadian Filmmakers.  Her subsequent films 98 Bit and Emile are collected in N. Maxwell Lander: Portraits. Emile won “Best Short” at the 2012 Feminist Porn Awards.

N. Maxwell Lander: Portraits (98 bit)

N. Maxwell Lander: Portraits (Emile)

N. Maxwell Lander: Portraits collects two films from award-winning photographer and filmmaker N. Max Lander. In the first portrait, Emile, the mundane and erotic transubstantiate into a powerful trance-like solo performance by Geena Rose, a vision in sepia and cigarette smoke. In contrast, 98 bit (art-directed by Rose) is an ultraviolet video game glitch in ecstatic neon, loading up Jinxy Laroue as a strap-on wielding raver fantasy and ending with a dayglow cumshot. Lander is a master of pairing vision with sound, and Portraits features a superb soundtrack with “the Right Voice” by Morgant J, “George’s House” by Vidian, and “Bend” by BinarPilot.

Maybe He’s Gifted

Maybe He’s Gifted is a visually-stunning and dream-like short from Feminist Porn Award winner N. Max Lander. The camera never holds a single shot for more than a moment, dicing up time and movement in time with the hypnotic soundtrack as Billy the Kid and Varina Adams orbit each others’ bodies before colliding with all the heat and urgency of burning stars. Our view comes in and out of focus as if intoxicated by their lust. This is pornography as art, pure and simple.

About Pink & White Productions
Founded by Shine Louise Houston in 2005, Pink & White Productions is known for portraying authentic queer desire and fluidity of sexuality and gender in adult cinema. The company’s featured films and projects have screened world-wide, and presented at academic institutions, most recently at Stanford University. Houston has been honored at the PorYes Feminist Porn Awards in Berlin and was noted Toronto’s Feminist Porn Awards’ Visionary, as well as Curve Magazine’s Sex Curator. Her work adds representation to queer sexualities, spanning communities of color, gender expression, sexual desire, body politics, BDSM and other marginalized experiences with strikingly beautiful cinematography, humor, and realism. Following the popular best-selling movie “The Crash Pad”, the company’s website CrashPadSeries.com portrays an illustrious San Francisco apartment where queers go to have the best sex of their lives. Houston’s newest project, HeavenlySpire.com explores masculine sexuality in her signature style. PINKLABEL.tv provides fair-trade Video on Demand outlet for independent adult filmmakers.
