Fans of female-produced porn did a double-take when they saw Erika Lust’s XConfessions make a cameo in Season 4 of Netflix’s popular dark sci-fi show BLACK MIRROR. Erika’s film can be seen in this short clip, uploaded to her Twitter account:

While there’s been a lot of commotion and congratulations directed towards Erika and her company, we want to be sure that performers also get the credit they’re owed. After all, you can’t make porn without the porn performers!

We reached out to the video’s performers for their thoughts. Paulita Pappel saids, “It feels to me a very positive sign that mainstream platforms are presenting female-produced and alternative porn. I hope this will help to bring this kind of porn to wider audiences and promote the distribution and access to a diverse pornography. I feel proud to be a part of it.” Her co-star Clarke Kent, who can be followed on Steemit, had a more media-adverse response to the news of hearing that he appeared on Netflix. “I don’t watch television,” the performer admitted, adding, “the best thing to do with a television, is unplug it, and leave it in the street.”
